The Grand Budapest Hotel is Anderson’s 8th and most successful movie so far. It recounts the adventures of Gustave H. and Zero Moustafa, both working at the famous European hotel. On February 22, 2015, the 87th Academy Awards ceremony honored the best films of 2014. The movies ‘Birdman‘ (director Alejandro González Iñárritu) and ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel‘ (director Wes Anderson) had tied for the most nominations and both won four oscars.

To feel the ‘Wes Anderson experience’ once more, take a look at the essay of the Grand Budapest Hotel. The video shares the story behind the film’s conception. For example, the essay shows we not only see layers of comedy and melancholy. We also see history, literature, and even anxiety. All Anderson’s characters are in search of their endless quest to master their own sense of loss.
